Strait Brands' ambitions are to:

  • To build an internationally-recognised Fine Food and Beverage business through the creation of a portfolio of strongly branded Tasmanian products with a reputation for excellence.
  • To enhance bottom line profit growth by developing a group of businesses that are vertically and horizontally integrated and compatible.
  • To identify, purchase and integrate, Tasmanian food and beverage brands with potential for growth in international markets.
  • To continually add value to the business for the ultimate benefit of employees and shareholders.
In the first instance this will be achieved by:

  • Establishing a commercial white spirits distillery, production and packaging facility in Tasmania's Tamar Valley - the home of Strait Vodka.
  • Maximising all opportunities presented by a joint venture contract with Vozdka Pty. Ltd. to sell a minimum 50,000 bottles per annum into Russia for the first six years - and beyond.
  • Purchasing and integrating Tasmanian fine food and beverage businesses that are already exporting or have the potential to expand into an international market.
  • Developing heritage buildings at the former Launceston Gasworks to create tourism and hospitality attractions that promote Strait Brands’ products to an international audience and substantially enhance bottom line profit.
