A THREE week trade mission to Asia has led to a likely launch of the entire Strait Drinks portfolio into the Chinese capital Beijing before the end of 2007. (SEPTEMBER 9, 2007)
A successful brand presentation in Jakarta, Indonesia, was followed by a week in Beijing selecting a prospective importer and conducting market intelligence ahead of an initial launch to top Chinese hospitality personalities in December.
"Beijing alone is a massive market with some of the best bars, hotels and restaurants in the world. The level of sophistication surprises most western visitors, but the Chinese recognise quality and aspire to deliver the best in food and beverages to their guests," said Strait Drinks' export specialist Justin Cleaver.
"There is a significant point of difference being delivered by Strait Drinks, especially a range of real fruit vodkas in 2008.
"China and Australia also enjoy a long-standing and strong trading relationship and this can only assist in the development of the Strait portfolio in other major cities across China as we head towards the Beijing Olympics and beyond," he added.
Strait Drinks will officially announce its Beijing importer in December 2007.
